There’s a saying :
“If you practice Simplified Tai Chi, you have millions of friends around the world!”
Why?
The Simplified Tai Chi 24 Form is the most popular martial art exercise form in the world! In 1956, Master Li Tianji created the Simplified 24 Step Tai Chi Form from the traditional Yang Family Style Long Form, by deleting repetitive movements and designing the sequence of steps to progress from the most simple steps in the first two sections, to gradually progressing through more intermediate level movements in the third section, then culminating into the more challenging combinations in the final fourth and fifth sections.
These 24 postures only take about six minutes to perform, yet give beginners an introduction to the essential elements of the art of Tai Chi, while retaining the traditional flavor and benefits of the Traditional Yang Family Long Form.
If you’re looking for a simple way to feel healthier, then Simplified Tai Chi may be exactly what your body needs. With only 24 movements (versus up 108!), this form can be done anywhere at any time without needing much space. It’s ease of training makes this exercise possible even on those tough weeknights when other workouts might not work out so well!
