At Life Skill Academy, our mission has been to help guide students to develop the power they need for true success while letting them have a great time in the process. One of many ways we help empower growth is through showing students how mindful breathing can bring clearness and understanding when making decisions.

 By taking just a few minutes each day to connect with our own breath, we open ourselves up to clarity and understanding that will guide us through life’s decisions – allowing us create positive change with purpose!

Taking time to practice mindful breathing can be a refreshing and calming experience. Allow yourself to become aware of the sensation as you inhale, along with any thoughts or feelings that emerge in your mind. Notice how they arise and pass away while simply allowing your breath come naturally – no judgement, just awareness and presence within each moment without expectation.

 One cool thing about mindful breathing, is that we can do it anywhere! Just find a comfortable position and take some time to focus on your breath. Allow yourself to be conscious of every inhale, feeling it as if for the first time. As you softly exhale out through your nose or mouth, observe how each release relaxes and refreshes both body and mind alike. 

If your mind drifts away, no need to be hard on yourself – acknowledge whatever has grabbed your attention and kindly guide it back to the rhythm of breathing. Don’t you worry, a little wandering is natural!

Let go into this inner peace as you simply allow your natural rhythm to guide the flow of in-breath and out-breaths; savor these moments with complete presence until calmness pervades throughout all parts of being like a soothing balm from nature’s own hand.
